Affiliate programme terms
Last updated 17 August 2026
What we pay
25% of what a referred store pays us, every month, for as long as that store keeps its paid subscription. There is no cap and no expiry window. Tracking, statements and payouts are handled by the affiliate platform you joined through; we do not hold your balance.
A referral counts when a store installs StoreVault through your link and starts paying. Stores on the free plan earn nothing until they upgrade, and refunded or charged-back months are deducted the same way they are deducted from us.
What is not allowed
No cold email. Do not email merchants who have not asked to hear from you. That includes lists you bought, scraped from the App Store or a directory, or collected anywhere else. This is the one rule we cannot be flexible about: the law makes us responsible for messages sent to promote us, whoever presses send.
Do not present yourself as us. You are an independent partner, not StoreVault and not Steadyware. Do not write as if you were the vendor, do not register domains, handles or ad accounts that suggest you are, and do not offer support on our behalf.
Do not bid on our name in paid search and do not publish discount or coupon pages for discounts that do not exist. Both intercept people who were already coming to us and neither creates a customer.
Say only what is true. Our own coverage boundary is published on what backup apps can and cannot restore - do not promise past it. In particular, orders and customers are archived and exportable, never restored in place.
Disclose the relationship. Where you recommend us, say plainly that you earn a commission.
What happens if these are broken
The account is disconnected from the programme and unpaid commissions are forfeited. Commissions already credited on referrals we can trace to prohibited activity are reversed. We check the source of referrals, and we would rather lose a partner than a merchant's trust.
Changes
If these terms change, the change applies from the day it is published here and never retroactively to commissions already earned.
