First month free, for a written conversation

The offer

Tell us how backups actually work in your store and your first month on any paid plan is free. Not a discount code and not a refund: we extend the trial on the plan you picked, so nothing is charged and nothing needs to be claimed back.

It is limited on purpose. One month, once per store, and we only run it while we are small enough to read every answer ourselves.

What we are paying for, and what we are not

We are paying for a written conversation: your answers to a handful of questions by email, in whatever depth you feel like. That is the whole exchange.

A review is not required, not implied, and not checked. We do not ask you to rate the app, we do not look at whether you left a review before or after, and your answers change nothing about the free month once it is given. Shopify does not allow apps to reward reviews, and we would not want a review bought that way either: a rating that was paid for tells the next merchant nothing.

You are also free to be blunt. Answers that say the app is confusing, slow or missing the one thing you needed are worth more to us than polite ones, and they do not cost you the month.

What we ask about

Roughly these, and you can skip any of them: what made you look for a backup app in the first place; what you expected to be able to restore and what surprised you; where the app was confusing in the first ten minutes; what you still do by hand that you thought we would do; and what would make you cancel.

Answers stay between us. We quote nothing publicly without asking you first, by name or otherwise.

How it works, step by step

  1. Install StoreVault and pick any paid plan. The plan starts as a normal trial, and Shopify handles the billing as usual.
  2. Write to support@storevault.app with the subject "first month free" and your store domain.
  3. We send the questions and extend your trial by 30 days on the same day. The extension is applied to your existing subscription, so your plan, limits and history window do not change.
  4. You answer when you have time. There is no deadline, and the month is already yours.

The small print, in full

One month per store, once. Paid plans only, because there is no trial to extend on the free plan. You can cancel at any time from your Shopify admin, during the free month or after it, and nothing is charged retroactively. Founding pricing is unaffected either way: a founding place is claimed by the first payment, so a free month neither claims one nor takes one from anybody else.

Every extension we grant is recorded on our side with the date and the reason, and it appears in the access log inside the app, on the same log that records every read of your protected data.
